Community Matron

The community matron is based at the surgery who can be contacted via reception. At Baslow, the community matron has become a very important part of the primary care team in identifying those with complex medical needs who are sometimes struggling to remain independent and to identify the extra support that may be needed and keep in regular contact.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
